Mark and Measure seminars

Discover your personal and farm business potential with DairyNZ's Mark and Measure seminars.

The Mark and Measure 2010 course schedule is now available below.

There are two types of Mark and Measure seminars to choose from – focusing on either business performance or strategic management. These interactive seminars run for two days and are designed specifically for dairy farmers and their partners.

They will help you to unlock the potential of your farm business and to deliver the profits and lifestyle you desire.

Mark and Measure Business Performance

Mark and Measure Business Performance helps you develop better analytical skills using your own farm accounts:

  • Compare and benchmark key performance indicators with other farmers
  • Use the new industry database, DairyBase
  • Understand the investment principles of leveraging and compounding to grow your net worth
  • Take a 'snapshot' of your farm business performance
  • Meet and share ideas with other motivated dairy farmers
  • Develop a better understanding of the financial aspects of your business
  • Learn skills you thought only your accountant knew

Mark and Measure Strategic Management

Mark and Measure Strategic Management gives you the chance to get off the farm and gain a clear perspective on the future of your farm business.

  • Develop a strategic plan for the next 2-5-10 years
  • Gain a perspective on how your farm business fits into your personal life and goals – not the other way around
  • Meet industry achievers who have applied strategic plans to their businesses and lives
  • Develop skills to capitalise on your business and grow equity beyond the farm gate
  • Learn the skills to be able to recognise new business opportunities
  • Plan to deliver outcomes that fulfil your personal, business and financial goals.

DairyNZ is delighted to offer these two outstanding seminars in the Mark and Measure series. Superb feedback has been received from all previous courses and as one participant put it:

"These courses are an absolute must for all farmers who want to succeed and progress in the dairy industry."
Each course is run over two days in a workshop style to ensure maximum learning from the presenters and also from other course participants. During the course you will be applying what you learn immediately to your farm business and will be able to take action to achieve goals faster.
