Waterway Management in Action

Chair of the Dairy Environment Leadership Group Dr John Penno (left) and Arnold Bryant  officially open the Scott Farm Riparian Demonstration Site at
Newstead in Hamilton (25 October 2007)

DairyNZ’s Scott Farm in Hamilton is home to a riparian demonstration site where farmers can see a range of waterway management options and solutions in one place that they could apply to their own farms.

The Scott Farm Riparian Demonstration Site showcases science and practical management tools that could be applied to a variety of waterway management options to help dairy farmers manage the impact of their businesses on the environment.

The project is jointly funded by DairyNZ, the MAF Sustainable Farming Fund, and Environment Waikato.
