Our workplace

• Social club
  We have a great social club made up of volunteer people who organise many exciting events throughout the year and to belong to the club, you don’t have to pay anything - what a great deal!
• Location
  The main office building for DairyNZ is situated just on the outskirts of Hamilton, in Newstead. We are surrounded by countryside so you can enjoy a relaxing lunch outside in the fresh air. We also have free car parking and a great cafeteria on site, or facilities to prepare your own. Above all else, there is no traffic to fight through, so it's not a bad way to spend your lunch break.

People development

• Professional memberships
  A number of our people are eligible to have their memberships for professional organisations paid for by DairyNZ.
• Training and development
  Learning and growing people is important to DairyNZ and there are many aspects to our training and development programmes that we are very proud of.
• Reward and recognition
  We have a structured, flexible system for recognising people performance. We like our people to know when they are doing a great job!
• Tertiary study
  DairyNZ also supports people in relevant tertiary study by allowing some time off during working hours to attend lectures or tutorials and by contribution or reimbursement of fees. This initiative is to provide support for people to continue developing their academic qualifications.

People wellness

• Flu vaccinations
  Every year we offer our people free flu vaccinations.
• Free health checks
  Some people are offered an annual health check that is carried out on an individual and confidential basis. Testing is carried out on site and offers people information. People may be referred to their GP if there is anything significant that is uncovered during the check up.
• Health insurance
  DairyNZ participates in a group scheme with Southern Cross. Due to the size of our group, members (people) achieve very reasonable prices for their health care.
• Health and safety
  We take health and safety seriously as is evidenced by our tertiary rating with ACC. We also provide regular first aid training and fire training for any people who have that responsibility.
