Making progress
Changing farming practices to reduce environmental impacts is a big task and not one that can be solved overnight.
However, given the progress New Zealand dairy farmers have made to date, we can be confident we are on target to meet our industry commitment under the Dairy Industry Strategy for Sustainable Environmental Management.
Here you will find snapshots of the progress the industry has made to date in different areas. We will continue to work with farmers, scientists, regional councils, government and industry partners to drive improvements in these areas.
