High productivity with a low impact
The Super P and Tight N farms ceased operating on 31st May and 28th August 2009 respectively.
A report of the 3 years of farmlet operation is being prepared and will be available on this website shortly.
Preparation is underway to replace the farmlets with new ones from March 2010.
Aim: Produce 1200 kg MS per ha with no brought in feed
and reduce Nitrate leaching to less than 25kg N per ha, which is
50% of measured levels in the Control farmlet.
Size: 7 ha
Herd: 21 cows
