The InCalf Fertility Focus report is a single page report designed for Step 1 Assess current herd reproductive performance. This report uses existing herd data to calculate and present the most important measures of herd reproductive performance, in a standard format. It then compares your herd's performance against achievable targets. The Fertility Focus report for your herd can be detailed, intermediate or basic, and can analyse up to three years of herd records, to monitor performance over successive seasons. |
|
The level of detail will depend on the quality and completeness of your records in the database (MINDA, Mistro, Infovet). Most herds will get an intermediate level of analysis. For a detailed level of analysis, pregnancy test results including age of pregnancy are needed.
The InCalf Fertility Focus report contains three sections:- Overall herd reproductive performance, as measured by the 6-week in-calf rate and empty rate.
- Drivers of the 6-week in-calf rate, namely 3-week submission rate, and non-return rate or conception rate.
- Key indicators of areas for improvement which includes: calving pattern, first calvers, heat detection, pre-mating heats, non-cycling cow treatments, and performance after week 6 (bull management).
