David Johns is DairyNZ's Investment Policy Manager based in
Wellington. In this role he manages industry relationships with
Government focussed on research and development investment as well
as a range of other policy issues. A key recent focus has
been coordinating the $170 million dairy industry Primary Growth
Partnership project, as well as securing government funding for
initiatives such as Pastoral 21.
To achieve such outcomes for the industry, David works closely
with government departments and with other relevant industry groups
such as the Dairy Companies Association of New Zealand, individual
companies (e.g. Landcorp) and Beef and Lamb NZ.
