DairyNZ will hold a series of Cashflow budgeting workshops throughout NZ in 2012 to help farmers refresh budgeting skills or learn the basics. The workshops take place over two days (10am to 3pm), building confidence and financial skills in completing a Monthly Cashflow budget for your farm business. Workshop content Day one:
Prepare a farm management calendar, stock reconciliation and Annual Cash budget. Consider financial systems and record keeping, how to keep the farm office simple and effective.
Workshop content Day two:
Cashflow your Annual budget and test out scenarios such as payout or production changes. Think about how to get the budget working at home with actual income and expenses. Estimate tax and interest for the coming season. How do you get the most out of your financial information?
After the workshop it's back to reality implementing the budget on farm. There are a number of options for improving the financial management of your business which will be discussed during the workshop.
Spaces are limited and registration is essential. The workshops are subsidised by DairyNZ for levy-paying dairy farmers and a fee applies ($100 plus GST single, $150 plus GST double). For non-levy payers the charge is $200 + GST (single or double).
