To help get ready for calving, DairyNZ together with local vets ran a series of interactive, StockSense Calving Workshops through June and July 2011, targeting the skills required for this busy time of the year. |
The 2011 StockSense Calving Workshops were hugely popular. By the end of the program, 21 events reached over 1300 participants around the country. Feedback has been outstanding with attendees enjoying the interactive, practical format of the workshops and the support from vets and rural supply partners has been tremendous.
Registrations for StockSense Calving Workshop events are now closed. However, in response to farmer feedback preparations are underway for more StockSense Workshops targeting other key stockmanship skills.
