SmartSAMM builds on the success and simplicity of the well-known SAMM Plan by updating the approach using new techniques, information systems and insights from within New Zealand and around the world.
At the core is a framework to enable farmers to:
- Assess their herds udder health status against industry benchmarks
- Identify the gap in performance and potential for improvement
- Explore options to achieve improvements
- Select and implement the most appropriate options for their herd
- Review progress towards goals.
