Note that this final objective is a joint objective with BS904 NAIT Management, and is described in more detail in that schedule. |
Expected outcomes of this project
Benefit
Implementation of the National Pest Management Strategy for TB will deliver minimal impact on dairy farmers from bovine TB while proving whether eradication of the TB is possible (and demonstrating whether the dairy industry should continue to invest in eradication of TB, or focus on control of the disease instead).
Efficient and effective operation of the Animal Health Board will ensure farmers receive maximum benefit (in terms of TB control) for their investment.
Effective advocacy on behalf dairy farmers during the funding principles review will deliver an outcome that is fair for DairyNZ levy-payers and promote stable funding for the strategy over the longer term.
A merged NAIT/AHB entity will provide value for money for DairyNZ levy-payers.
