International Dairy Federation NZThe New Zealand National Committee of the International Dairy Federation (NZ NC IDF) is the national body within New Zealand responsible for co-ordinating and managing the New Zealand dairy sector input and influence on issues relating to the IDF. New Zealand dairy industry’s input and contributions are critical because of the role IDF has in co-ordinating global dairy industry input into the establishment and modification of (i) Food Standards; (ii) Methods of Analysis and Sampling; (iii) various policies, guidelines and practices in a wide range of areas, such as Good Farming Practices, Environment, Food Assurance, Milk and Milk Product Composition and, (iv) since late 2008, Sustainability. Such standards, policies and guidelines can and have had significant effect on the ability of the New Zealand dairy industry to operate in the global marketplace. |
