Dairy Statistics 2010/11

Dairy Statistics provides a range of statistical analyses on current, historic and emerging trends in the New Zealand dairy industry, those statistics being largely based on the previous Dairy Statistic publications produced by LIC (the “Dairy Statistics”). It also reports on the initiatives being undertaken to eradicate disease (EBL, TB etc).It is considered an essential reference by a variety of organisations, including universities, local government, dairy companies, industry support organisations and farmers, and allows readers to gain an understanding of where the industry is, and where it is heading.

Expected outcomes of this project

Benefit

Assist farmers in the decision making process and enable them to compare the performance of their herds with regional and district averages (benchmarking).

Farmers are able to see current and historic trends, and get a sense of where the industry is heading.

Enable stakeholders in the NZ dairy industry to see current and historic trends, get a sense of where the industry is heading and provide greater support for dairy farmers.
