This year, one levy paying dairy farmer is being elected to the DairyNZ board.
The DairyNZ board consists of five farmer-elected directors and three board-appointed directors. This year’s farmer-elected director role is currently vacant.
The 2018 Board of Directors' candidates are:
Directors Remuneration Committee election
An election is also being held for one member of the Directors Remuneration Committee (DRC). One nomination has been received for this position, which means no election will be held.
Each year the DRC regularly reviews and recommends changes to directors’ payments and other benefits to directors each year. The payments and benefits recommended by the DRC are put to levy payers for approval at the DairyNZ Annual General Meeting.
The successful candidates for the Board and DRC will be announced at the Annual General Meeting in Invercargill on October 31.
