Carol and her team focus on finding integrated policy solutions for sustainable dairy farming. Through collaboration they provide trusted, future-focused science and policy direction to protect and enhance dairy farming in New Zealand.
Previously, as MPI’s deputy director-general standards, Carol was responsible for New Zealand’s international and regulatory standards and systems relating to biosecurity, animal welfare and food safety. Before joining MAF Dairy Division in 1998, she was a regulatory policy officer at the Dairy Board.
Carol is a food technologist and a Fellow of the New Zealand Institute of Food Science & Technology.
