I grew up on a family farm in the Waikato and have gone on to now own/lease a 145ha dairy farm in Okoroire with my husband Ben.
Within the farm business, I am involved in our staff rosters, budgets, GST and have a good understanding of the critical components to running an efficient farm and measuring progress against budgets and benchmarks. In 2016 we were runner-up in the Waikato share farmer of the year, collecting three of the merit awards in the process.
Outside the farm business, over the past 2 years I have been tutoring Animal Health and Husbandry classes for Dairy Training Ltd in the South Waikato, and assessing students on Milk Quality and Effluent for QCONZ throughout the Waikato and Bay of Plenty. Prior to that I worked for Primary ITO for 10 years as a Training Adviser in the South Waikato and Central Plateau regions. I have recently completed the NZ Diploma in Agribusiness Management through the Primary ITO and WINTEC..
I am passionate about Dairy Farming and love to see people see it as a great career choice that offers truly amazing opportunities.
