Event Time

10:30 AM to 1:00 PM

Field Day

Venue

Rob and Moira Anstis, 96 Amokura Road, Opotiki. SN 22557

Why Attend?

Join Rob and Moira on farm to hear how they’ve been using the Lely milking robots to help drive culling and mating decisions based on the daily milk quality and reproduction data. By implementing the use of robots, it’s allowed them to take time off away from the farm and enjoy their hobbies.

A farmer panel, each using different wearable systems, will share their real-world experiences - the good, the bad, and the benefits they’ve found from a farmer’s point of view.

A DairyNZ expert will talk to research on the impact of wearables on reproductive performance, as well as how rumination data can play a role in decision-making for monitoring cow health and feed requirements.

At this Progressing Dairy Event, find out more about:

  • The pros and cons of the different wearables/technology
  • What to consider when looking to implement wearables and what type is best suited to your farm system
  • How to drive efficiency by getting the most out of your wearables data

Take the opportunity to hear how farmers are using wearable tech and discover what could work best for your farm.

Please register here. Tea and coffee from 10:30am with a 10:45am start.

Protect our industry - please arrive with clean boots to prevent the spread of disease, pest or weed.
