Why Attend?

Join us on-farm with hosts, Aaron and Jo Passey, to hear how they’re improving water quality and helping their farm ecosystem to thrive.

DairyNZ Senior Environmental Specialist Adam Duker will share practical actions you can take to improve on-farm water quality, and the difference these make to in-stream species.

At this Progressing Dairy Event you’ll hear more about:

  • How restorative actions and mitigative strategies work together to protect and enhance the habitat of your farm waterways.
  • How effective planting — the right species in the right place — improves stream health by stabilising banks, filtering runoff, providing shade, and supporting biodiversity.
  • The role catchment groups play
  • Understanding the land–water connection: managing sensitive areas for better water quality outcomes.

Join farmers and experts at DairyNZ’s Progressing Dairy Events to share what’s working - and why – so we all get a little better every season.
