Why Attend?

Please note, this event has moved from 14 May to 28 May.

Host farmer Jeff White has seen firsthand how extreme weather events across the Coastal Bay of Plenty have reduced pasture persistence and increased the prevalence of lower quality summer grasses.

Join us to hear from DairyNZ Senior Scientist Elena Minnee on how the Resilient Pastures Programme is using studies and trials to design sustainable farm systems.

Jeff will then share the key differences between the three trials on his farm, the pasture species involved, and where he hopes to see further improvement.

The Resilient Pastures programme is a seven-year initiative led by DairyNZ, with MPI through the Primary Sector Growth Fund, including industry partners Beef + Lamb New Zealand and others.

Protect our industry - please arrive with clean boots to prevent the spread of disease, pest or weed.
