Profitability should inform any farm decision and it's critical that we have the capacity to adapt to our environmental commitments. DairyNZ, together with Fonterra, want to help you clarify what the key numbers are for your business – both profit and environmental - to be future fit.
In October Fonterra released their new Environmental Report to each of their suppliers which contains a Nitrogen Risk Scorecard and Greenhouse Gas Assessment.
This event will provide:
- The latest changes and timelines relevant to your business for environmental changes relating to He Waka Eke Noa and Essential Fresh Water policy
- Your local Fonterra Sustainable Dairy Advisor will give clarity on the importance of these numbers going forward and how to practically apply them to your thinking about the future
- Regionalised benchmarks to highlight where your current farm system compares for operating profit, nitrogen, and methane emissions and scenarios
Local farmers will also give their perspective on what they are thinking about the changes and how they are preparing to adapt. They will provide insights into positioning themselves and their business goals moving forward.
