Thanks for visiting us at Fieldays® 2026

Thanks to everyone who stopped by the DairyNZ site at Fieldays® 2026. With more than 132,000 people through the gates, it was one of the biggest Fieldays in recent years. It was great to connect with so many farmers, partners, rural professionals, politicians, and rural media across the four days at Mystery Creek.

From practical on-farm solutions to conversations about the future of dairy, we enjoyed sharing our latest insights, tools and science, all designed to support profitable, sustainable farming. It was also great hearing what matters most to you on your farm.

Highlights from the week

We had a strong turnout at our site in the Pavilion, with plenty of conversation focused on practical ways to support better farming. There were great conversations covering key topics:

Maximising homegrown feed.
Farm performance and profitability.
Reducing emissions while maintaining productivity.
Interest in the Dairy Beef Opportunities Programme.

Partners

A highlight of the week was our partner organisations joining us to connect with farmers and share their work. We welcomed Dairy Women’s Network, New Zealand Young Farmers, Ballance Farm Environment Awards, New Zealand Dairy Industry Awards, the John Luxton Legacy Fund, and the Ahuwhenua Trophy, creating a shared space for conversation, learning and collaboration.

Collaboration across sites

Dairy Training Limited - We hope you learnt more about Dairy Training’ s free, NZQA accredited training, to help you and your team build skills and grow your farm businesses.

MPI Science for Farmers - Our team showcased the latest research and innovation designed to support on- farm productivity m sustainability and resilience. We had our scientists on the panel discussing reducing emissions, resilient pastures, tackling heat stress, connecting with the Wahine Toa panel and discussing freshwater and catchments.

Farmers Advocacy Hub – Farmers connected with our team on the work we are doing to advocate for farmers to government on key issues affecting New Zealand’s Dairy sector.
