Orepuki / Tuatapere Event

Milking Frequencies, Nitrogen Use Efficiency, and HR systems at scale

Daniel and Kerry Manley have offered to host our next Orepuki / Tuatapere discussion group on farm. They are in their second season Contract Milking for Canterbury Grasslands 1500 cows across two properties. 

Discussion Topics include:

  • Nitrogen use efficiency, managing the 190KgN/ha cap
  • Milking frequencies 3 in 2, 10 in 7, place of OAD, pros and cons of each
  • Managing people and systems with scale in the business
  • Mating update season to date
