Marlborough Discussion Group - February

Come along and join what is sure to be an interesting discussion on the host farm with guests.

Brent has been managing this third-generation family business for approximately 30 years. 3 full-time staff are employed and in recent seasons 410 cross bred cows have been milked on the 150 ha, owned, milking platform. An additional 95 ha of leased and owned support land has been used to rear 280 dairy replacements and beef steers each season. Income is further supplemented by 60 ha of Forestry.

With 4 sons interested in the business, Brent has been working with John Redpath of Coach Approach Rural to solve the succession and progression dilemma by creating a large diverse business, in which he will take on the role of ‘Operations Manager' and create opportunities for family and staff to develop and progress through the industry.

  • Please note John Redpath will be attending to join the discussion and answer any questions.

We will start with the Whipround and a quick summary of this seasons repro performance.

BBQ lunch kindly provided by ANZ.

Protect our industry - please arrive with clean boots to reduce the risk of spreading a disease, pest or weed.
