Join us on farm with Pete Morgan and Ann Bouma and our guest speaker Bruce Thorrold, DairyNZ Strategy Investment Leader.
Pete and Ann are farming two adjacent properties in Pokuru with a total effective area of 235ha peak milking about 620 cross-bred cows.
They have been embracing the opportunities that technology can provide on farm for a long time and for the last two years have been utilizing Halter to automate herd movements and increase their pasture utilization. We will have the opportunity to see a virtual herd shift and discuss their experience with the system.
Bruce Thorrold will be sharing with us the latest advances with He Waka Eke Noa and emission pricing options as well as discussing the opportunities, challenges and next steps.
Lunch will be provided by Halter.
