More than one person from our farm business wants to complete Farm Gauge – is this possible?
Yes, and it's great to hear more than one person wants to complete it. This is a way for all business partners, farm stakeholders and advisors to assess the farm business and discuss opportunities.
If you are all using different computers you can enter your own names, email address and the same supply number. We will keep your records separate but will be able to note there have been multiple entries for one farm supply number.
If you are using the same computer you will need to clear the cookies between users or use a different browser. This means the other person will not be able to save their results so make sure results are emailed between each user.

Can I share my results?
Yes. Sharing results is a great way to communicate with multiple parties involved in your business, whether that is a consultant, your banker, an equity partner or another team member.
It will send your results dashboard, bar graphs and corresponding actions to anyone you like. They will not get your individual question responses but will see where the areas of opportunity are which you can then work through together.
Don't forget to add your name and a message to the person you are sharing it with.
Who can see my results?
DairyNZ staff will only be able to see you have completed Farm Gauge but they will not have access to your dashboard or results graphs unless you request ongoing support.
In the background, DairyNZ will be aggregating (with no individual farm identifiers) the results for each region to help develop research, and activity that meets farmers needs across the country.
We will not be monitoring or passing on the data to any external parties.
Why do I need to add my supply number/email/name?
This allows us to send you relevant information and to contact the right person if you request ongoing support. We want you to get the most out of Farm Gauge so will ensure you are included in any major updates of Farm Gauge or timely reminders.
Follow up – what will happen when I tick this?
If you request follow-up someone in our team will contact you within a week to find out more about the type of support you need. We’ll make sure your request is handled by the right person whether that be in using the tool or helping you in one of the topic areas you want to focus on.
If I hit print, what will happen?
You can print a summary of your full dashboard which will show bar graphs and actions that you have open. If you want to print the actions please make sure these are also open on your screen otherwise they will not show in the printed format.
How often should I complete Farm Gauge?
At least annually. This will allow you to measure progress and tailor your plan, depending on what you have achieved. We’ll also follow up with an email a year after you have completed it, as a reminder.
If DairyNZ make any updates to this tool how will I know?
No fundamental updates will be made until July 2018. If we make changes we will let you know via email.
