Note: Within each star rating category, cultivars are randomly assigned an order, so please choose cultivars within a star rating category based on seasonal performance values. Short term (winter feed and 12 month) ryegrass FVI are calculated based on cultivar-specific seasonal dry matter (DM) yield data. Whereas the perennial ryegrass FVI are based on cultivar-specific seasonal DM yield data, and functional group average data for the seasonal metabolisable energy (ME) content and persistence traits.
Using the Forage Value Index (FVI), this tool allows you to objectively select the most suitable endophyte and ryegrass cultivar combination for your farm. Select the relevant filters to obtain a list of appropriate cultivars.
