Discussion groups are one of the engagement options available to dairy farmers as a return on their investment to the milk-solids levy. DairyNZ runs events across the country connecting our scientists and experts with farmers on key farm systems topics, sharing the latest research and science in larger settings. DairyNZ has supported discussion groups since 1952 and their historical success comes from farmers bringing farmers together and learning off each other. Where these are most successful, they are farmer-led and supported by DairyNZ. We’re asking local farmers to convene the discussion group, then we’ll bring the farm systems, facilitation, information, and resources to support.
