Te Kura (13) and Fay (11) Perry did a great job of sharing their story when they were filmed on the dairy farm they live on at Te Whenua Hou in Canterbury. The story was part of the DairyNZ education programme which helps kids learn about dairy farming and where their milk comes from.
Te Kura and Fay shared all the things Ngāi Tahu do on their dairy farms to look after the land and water, operating under their Whakataukī “when land and water are sustained, people will prosper.”
As you can see, the girls did an amazing job representing the dairy sector to What Now’s audience of 145,000 people!
