Degree: Bachelor of Agricultural Science
Although not from a farm, I grew up on and around dairy farms in a close-knit dairy farming community in South Waikato. Recently, I have come to realise how important dairy farmers are to not only in my small community but the whole of New Zealand. That’s how I decided to study agricultural science at Lincoln University.
I am currently in my third year of my bachelor of agricultural science degree. In the future, I plan to get involved in dairy science research to help solve issues the sector is currently facing and may face in the future, such as environmental issues and growing urban-rural divides.
Dairy NZ has given me the opportunity to not only make new friends and establish connections but to inspire and motivate me to further myself in this industry. Networking events and hearing people’s stories have encouraged me and reiterated to me the endless career options and support networks available within this amazing industry.
