Reason / Benefits of completing National Diploma of Agribusiness Management:
“I decided to do the diploma to further my theoretical knowledge, which I can then apply to our business.”
Ruth is acutely aware that modern dairy farming requires smart management and a strategic approach to ensure sustainable growth and long-term viability.
“We have a focus on wealth creation that will eventually lead to farm ownership. The diploma course meets my needs for knowledge with its broad range of topics all related to how to manage resources both physical and human.”
Farm ownership of the 450 cow farm they currently sharemilk by 2021 is the ultimate goal for Ruth and Brett. Along the way to this they are aiming to pay down a sizeable amount of debt through control of farm working expenses and to continue to strive for excellence in the dairy industry.
