The supplementary feed price calculator allows you to determine how much you can pay for supplementary feed.
It is based on milk price and milk company, post-grazing residuals, supplement composition and your profit requirements from using a supplement.
The calculator assumes that metabolisable energy is the first limiting nutrient, but also takes into account the type of energy provided (e.g. starch, sugar, fibre), what effect this has on milk composition and the value of fat relative to protein.
This calculator should not be used as a ration balancer.
Note: This model is prepared with due care. Results, however, will vary from situation to situation and outputs should be viewed as estimates.
