The nomination and voting process
Each year DairyNZ holds an election process whereby levy-paying farmers who are also members of DairyNZ Inc vote for who they would like to represent them on the DairyNZ board. This ensures the board members represent our 10,500 levy-payers.
2026 director elections
Nominations are now open for positions on the 2026/27 DairyNZ Board and Directors’ Remuneration Committee.
There are three positions available: one farmer-elected director on the DairyNZ Board with Cameron Henderson seeking re-election; and two vacancies on the Directors’ Remuneration Committee, with Johanna Burton is seeking re-election for the Directors’ Remuneration Committee.

All farmers paying a levy on milksolids to DairyNZ and who are members of DairyNZ Inc are eligible to stand for election for the Board of Directors and the Directors’ Remuneration Committee positions. Candidates must be nominated by two current levy payers who are members of DairyNZ Inc.
If nominations exceed the number of available vacancies, elections will be held in October.
