Let your passion for te ao Māori and te taiao thrive at DairyNZ. Gain valuable industry insight, practical experience and tuakana/teina mentoring during your time with us. At DairyNZ, we seek to incorporate kaupapa Māori and mātauranga Māori in our science and research to achieve better outcomes for farmers, Māori and the dairy sector. We’re dedicated to supporting the next generation of aspiring Māori researchers and scientists.

DairyNZ offers summer internships for Māori tertiary students as part of our internship programme which has been running for the past five years. These internships are usually science-based and located at either our Lincoln or Hamilton office.

An exciting part of our internship programme is our annual wānanga which we hold in partnership with AgResearch. Our wānanga is hosted by Ngāti Koroki Kahukura and provides opportunities for our tauira to connect with local kaitiaki and learn about key iwi environmental initiatives.

DairyNZ is committed to seeing you succeed, and we do that by providing support post-internship with your study and/or career aspirations.

Our opportunities are not just limited to science internships, and we’re keen to hear from anyone with a passion for dairy.
