The Māori Engagement and Partnership Team support Māori farmers, trusts, incorporations, iwi and hapū to achieve their aspirations and build resilient farming businesses.
Many Māori farming businesses, have a unique story shaped by whakapapa, collective ownership, intergenerational aspirations and a deep connection to whenua.
Our Māori Engagement and Partnership Team works alongside Māori farmers, trusts, incorporations, iwi and hapū, to build trusted relationships and support aspirations that extend beyond the farm gate. We work together to navigate opportunities, tackle challenges and ensure Māori perspectives inform DairyNZ's work and the support we provide across the dairy sector.
Our team can help with governance discussions, Ahuwhenua Trophy applications, using DairyBase to unlock farm performance insights, succession and long-term planning, and connecting you with the right DairyNZ people, tools and resources.
Together with our colleagues across DairyNZ we are bringing together science, practical farming knowledge and te ao Māori, to help create solutions that strengthen businesses, care for the taiao and leave a legacy for future generations.
