How we're supporting farmers
We're supporting farmers across the Lower North Island with local events, discussion groups, tools and advice focused on the challenges and opportunities facing the region. We’re also working with councils on practical, workable outcomes for farmers affected by local environmental requirements.
Our focus includes pasture and soil health, homegrown feed, reproduction, technology, people on farm, water quality, effluent and profitability. Programmes such as MilkSmart, CalvingSmart, Dairy Beef and genetic gain help bring these topics to life through practical examples and local experience.
