How we're supporting farmers
We're supporting farmers across the Upper North Island through local events, discussion groups, tools, partnerships and practical advice that reflect the different priorities across Northland, Waikato and Bay of Plenty. We’re also working with councils on practical, workable outcomes for farmers affected by local environmental requirements.
Our focus includes resilient pastures, kikuyu management, calf rearing, homegrown feed, technology, genetic gain, succession, environmental requirements and farm profitability. Activities such as Resilient Pastures, local field days, discussion groups and benchmarking help bring these topics to life through practical examples and local experience.
