DairyNZ surveys
This page provides information on DairyNZ surveys you may have been invited to contribute to recently.
Participating in DairyNZ surveys is one way dairy farmers can contribute to research, solutions and advocacy. Participation is always voluntary. If you do participate, DairyNZ will not ask you to participate in another survey for at least 6 months.
Below are the surveys you may have been invited to contribute to recently.
Between September and November 2024, farmers in Waikato, Bay of Plenty and Canterbury will be invited to participate in a 12 to15 minute phone survey about heat stress. Farmers will be randomly selected until 360 responses are gathered.
The purpose of this research is to understand farmers’ experiences and views on this issue, in the regions of New Zealand where cows are most at risk of heat stress. This will help DairyNZ shape their research programme and develop tools and resources that best assist farmers to effectively manage heat stress in the cows.
The scientist leading the research is Kirsty Verhoek. The survey is being conducted by Cuthbert & Associates, an independent market research company. A participant information sheet is available.
