Adrian Brocksopp
Senior Area Manager - Rotorua
Supporting farmers to make positive decisions for their business and family drives Adrian’s work ethic and career. He also loves helping and seeing young people get ahead in the dairy sector.
Adrian took up his current position at DairyNZ in February 2026, working alongside farmers to help them adapt in ways that will enable their businesses to stay competitive, efficient, profitable and sustainable. “Markets, economic conditions and the environment change, both in the short- and medium-term,” says Adrian. “Each dairy farm has unique challenges, and our job is to work with and help farmers to leverage their Levy and add value into their planning, now and for the future.
Regional teams help farmers explore the knowledge, science and sector experience available so they can find solutions that work for them, says Adrian. “We talk to farmers one-to-one, and provide other services like discussion groups, technical engagement field days, Farmers Forum and DairyNZ tools and resources. We also connect with other sector groups who support DairyNZ’s events, contribute to discussions, and share experiences.”
Adrian is based in Te Aroha with wife Sarah, sons Dan and Tom and their two dogs. Sarah also works in the agricultural sector (FMG Group), while their sons are keen on building and dairying as careers, respectively. Soccer and BMX are other strong interests: Adrian’s provided coaching and support for their local club over many years.
Adrian says he got the taste of a unique country, agricultural industry and lifestyle, when he first holidayed in New Zealand from the UK in the early 2001. He’s been living here since 2002, working in various roles, supporting dairy farmers.
