Rosie's World is the home of Rosie, New Zealand's dairy industry 'Cowbassador'. She is the young, enthusiastic face of New Zealand’s 4.6 million dairy cows. This interactive site educates New Zealand children on the importance of the dairy industry through videos, fun activities and travel blogs.
Rosie was officially launched at the 2011 National Agricultural Fieldays at Mystery Creek where she was a huge hit with everyone from children to their grandparents!
She is a Friesian-Jersey cross who leaves her farm to discover what makes the New Zealand dairy industry one of the best in the world. At the Fieldays she was accompanied by members of her VIB (Very Important Bovine) protection squad.
Along with her own website Rosie's World, children of all ages can follow Rosie on Facebook and Youtube, and she regularly appears in the children’s educational newspaper Go Zone distributed via schools.
Rosie also features on the primary school education website Rosie's Education, which contains curriculum-related teaching units, digital texts, and digital learning objects, all of which use dairying as a context for learning.
