Industry: Establishment of the monitor farms on the West Coast and in Southland to provide pasture growth and quality information for farmers in the regions. Leading the Southern Wintering Systems initiative for DairyNZ. Regular invited presenter at SIDE conference workshops. Provider of technical support to Canterbury, Otago and Southland extension staff. Provider of technical information for policy development in Southland Science: Leading DairyNZ’s farm systems research activities in Southland and Otago and strengthening relationships with AgResearch, Plant and Food, Telford and Lincoln University. Lead scientist implementing the farm systems comparison within the P21 Productivity and Environment programme of work in Southland/Otago and member of the management team for the Canterbury programme.
