Why Attend?

These events will look at information from the 2022/23 season from Southland and Otago dairy farms – what were the key drivers of profitability, what trends do we see across the regions and how does financial performance interact with physical and environmental factors?

We’ll be presenting key trends from Southland and Otago farms followed by a panel discussion deep dive into an individual farm business – what are the key drivers of the farm system, both from the farmer and rural professional’s perspective?

Come and find out:

  • What are the key drivers of profitability for Southland and Otago farms
  • What’s the relationship between milk production and profitability?
  • How does nitrogen surplus and methane emissions correlate with other factors such operating profit
  • What KPI’s have the greatest (or least) impact on profitability
  • What has changed with farm cost structures over the last few seasons
  • What are potential areas to improve or enhance business performance across physical, financial and environmental parameters

There will also be plenty of opportunity to discuss and debate the results amongst the group. Bring your accountant or other advisors along as well to maximise the discussion.  A light lunch will be provided.

Robb Macbeth from Peak Ag Consulting will be presenting the information and facilitating the panel discussion alongside Gareth Baynham.
