Debbie Young

Debbie is the Regional Partner for Waikato South.

Debbie joined DairyNZ after working at CRV Ambreed for 8 years as a genetics field consultant in the Western Waikato area. Prior to this, she spent 15 years as an AB technician while also helping her husband Andrew to run their farm business.

Her depth of experience in the rural sector and broad knowledge of farming systems stand her in very good stead as she heads out on the road to connect with our dairy farmers.

Outside of work Debbie enjoys spending time with her family, playing netball and has a strong interest in horse riding, competing with her and her teenage daughter most weekends during the summer. She lives in the Ohaupo area with her husband and their teenage daughter. Their son is pursuing his own career in the dairy industry having just taken a role as a herd manager in South Waikato.
