Alison Whiteford

Alison is the Regional Leader for Northland and comes from a strong farming and rural background.

Alison and her husband initially went sheep and beef farming before converting to a 440 dairy farm in 2008. Although no longer farming, her commitment to the industry and to assisting farmers in Northland remains strong.

Having worn several hats in the rural sector over the past 27 years, Alison brings a wealth of experience to DairyNZ. Previous roles include being a Rural Banker, Ballance Agri Nutrient Technical Representative, and more recently working with MPI as a Recovery Co-ordinator for farmers primarily undergoing depopulation of cattle.

Alison is passionate about farmer wellbeing and sits on the Rural Support Trust as a facilitator and volunteer.
