Hone your calving skills and learn the latest tips and techniques at an in-person workshop designed to build your confidence this calving season.

Delivered by Dairy Training Limited, CalvingSmart workshop are designed for those with 0 – 3 years experience on farm, equipping you with the right knowledge and skills to establish a caring, healthy and safe environment for calves.

This workshop will cover: 

• Pre calving observation
• 3 stages of labour
• Normal and abnormal calf presentation 
• Calf resuscitation
• Identification and matching of cow and calf
• Cow and calf care
• Benefits of colostrum

This hands-on training includes practising with an artificial cow and calf to help you and the farm team prepare well for calving this season.
